About Us
John (JP) Klamm was born and raised in Watford City, North Dakota. After graduating high school, he attended NDSU for a semester before joining the Army.
Upon completion of basic training, he attended Northwest Tech in Moorhead MN where he received his associate's degree in construction management.
He then went to work for Nabors Drilling until he was deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
After his deployment to Iraq, he went to work for Wanzek Construction as a project engineer. Over the course of 4 years at Wanzek, he worked his way up to a general superintendent.
In 2010 John went on to pursue his own business and started Black Diamond Construction. Since the start of the business, it has grown into a mining, civil, and excavation company.
John currently lives in the Watford City area with his wife Danielle and his daughters, Madison and Tinley.
